FIRST EDITION THUS, a four part collection based upon earlier published material from the 1640's, but here first issued together in the present form, previous collected editions being of a varied nature. Mercurius Rusticus and Querela Cantabrigiensis are both reprinted from Oxford Newsletters, and supposed to be by Bruno Ryves, though John Barwick is also suggested author of the second work. An important summary of the Royalist complaints in the Civil War.
