FIRST EDITION, one of Scott's more successful novels, based upon the visit of Elizabeth I to Kenilworth in the 1570's, a particularly well documented event at the time, as Scott surely knew. A large print run of about 10000 copies has ensured plentiful sets in existence today, however, those still in the original boards such as this make a reasonable premium. £200.00
