This second printing is complete with the 12 page 'Postscript' at the end, a separate publication of 1762 on the 'Changeable Harpsichord' as found in most copies of this second edition which has extra plates.Written by a Cambridge mathetician who also happened to be a keep musical amateur his system proved impractical. Even Babbage was so intrigued and confused by the book he wrote a satirical poem about it and it has always garnered a certain amount of curiosity interest. £375.00
